This is a good reminder that ‘being’ and ‘doing’ are essential one to the other, not at the expense of the other. May be a good lens to reflect on the text this work for Mary and Martha.

God of calm,
God of action,
God of calm action,
you ask us to sit at the feet of your son.
You ask us not to fret in the kitchen.
Teach us contemplation in a world of action,
calm in the kitchen,
stirred at the Lord’s feet.
